What makes them so successful? What do they have in common? What's different about them? And (this is thoroughly subjective), which one of the two is the best? You've got to ask yourself: these are two seminal musicals that have come of age this decade. Last year, I saw the 25th Anniversary of "The Phantom of the Opera" (there are plenty of journal entries on it, just take a flick through my history). Over the Easter break I got to see the long-running musical Les Miserables, or rather, Les Miserables "In Concert", the 25th Anniversary performance.
